A Festive Family Show

21 Nov

Saturday 12th December will see the 2015 Welsh Open and National Eisteddfod Champion Band return to Burry Port Memorial Hall for its first Christmas concert in a number of years, putting family and friends at the heart of this year’s concert.

Burry Port Town Band are set to celebrate the festive period in style this Christmas with their Charity Gala Concert – join the band for a relaxed concert featuring all of your favourite Christmas classics and more.

This year’s concert will take a different approach to previous years, focusing on families and loved ones, with cabaret-style seating around tables so you can enjoy a festive drink from the bar while the band entertain you with their exciting Christmas programme.

And the festive treats won’t just be musical – Santa will even be paying a visit to Burry Port Memorial Hall during the concert. Parents of any children in the audience hoping for a present will need to let Santa and the concert organisers know in advance (please email Jayne on ejaynethomas7@gmail.com).

The family focus doesn’t end there, and the band are delighted to welcome their special guests for the evening – the Tenovus Cancer Care Swansea Sing With Us Choir.

The band has close ties with the Tenovus Choir, and co-principal conductor Tom Davoren’s mother is a member of the choir herself. The band are delighted to welcome them to share the stage, and are pleased to announce a portion of the money raised from the concert will go to the charity to help support cancer patients and their loved ones, and keep the choir singing.

What’s more, the Burry Port Junior Band will also take to the stage, celebrating Burry Port’s next generation of music makers.

The concert is at 7pm on Saturday 12th December, at Burry Port Memorial Hall. Tickets are £10 for adults and free for under 16s, including with a free gift from Santa. For more information, tickets, and to put your under 16s name on santa’s list contact Jayne on 07974 433126 or ejaynethomas7@gmail.com
