3:15pm – Classes K, L & M; Small Ensembles
4pm – Classes N & P; Large Ensembles
5pm – Final Results and Close
We hope that the event will be well supported by brass players from schools, ensembles and bands from the South Wales area. We are very excited that we’ve engaged some talented adjudicators, Mr Robert Samuel and Mr Alun F Williams, and we believe it will be an ideal opportunity for youth bands, players and ensembles the chance to show their talents to a wider audience.
Traditionally, competitions such as this included separate ‘Air Varie’ and ‘Slow Melody’ sections for soloists but with today’s wide-ranging repertoire it has been decided to make each solo section own-choice with a separate prize for the best ‘Slow Melody’. Every entrant will receive an award, which will be ranked as ‘Gold’, ‘Silver’, ‘Bronze’ or ‘Highly Commended’
